Delco Christian and Jenkintown in Shootout

Delco Christian took nearly one month to win its first-ever varsity football game and, on Saturday, and the wait came down to the final minute.

Jake White intercepted a Jenkintown pass in the end zone with 30 seconds left in the game to give the Knights (1-3 overall, 1-3 league) a 38-35 win over the host Drakes in a Bicentennial League game.
The wild game featured two signature running performance by the respective tailbacks as Delco Christian's Caleb Favino, son of head coach Jim Favino, gained 300 yards on 26 carries and Jack Kinniry gained 272 yards for Jenkintown on the same number of carries.

The Drakes (1-2, 1-3) closed to within 38-35 on a 22-yard pass from Pat Stullmun to Ted Hudson with two minutes left and recovered an onsides' kick, driving to the DC 4-yard line before White's interception.

The Drakes then recovered an onsides' kick and drove to the Delco Christian 4-yard line before White's interception.
